Window Cleaning FAQ:
Your Questions About The Window Cleaning Business-Answered!
The
following are real questions from real people
who emailed me while reading this web site:
Question:
Can I start this business part time for extra income, then maybe go full time at
a later date?
Answer:
Yes, you absolutely can start your window business part-time. For
most people it is not feasible to start out working full-time immediately. Of
course, it depends on your work schedule now too.
Also,
if you just want an extra income stream, I highly recommend window cleaning.
There is very low overhead costs to get started and you will start making money
very quickly. Follow the instructions in my manual and video. They really work.
Question:
Can this business be done in the cold weather months...if so how is that
handled?
Answer:
Yes, this business can be done throughout the winter. If you have
commercial customers they will likely want their windows cleaned year-round. I
recommend adding some anti-freezing agent into the solution (windshield washer
fluid) when the temperature drops below freezing.
I
personally do not work much in the winter months because I do residential window
cleaning. From about mid Dec. to mid March it slows down. In Pennsylvania, it is
simply too cold, but I actually enjoy the downtime.
Question:
Do I have to carry insurance?
Answer:
I have insurance and recommend not working without it.
Question:
Do you still work alone, or do you have employees? What do you think I should
do?
Answer:
I have some help on bigger jobs because I simply cannot keep up
myself.
I recommend you start out working solo. In my manual, I
discuss more about when you should start thinking about getting part-time and
full-time workers. It mainly depends on your goals and how large you want to
grow your window cleaning company.
Question:
How will I estimate what a certain job will cost someone? What should I charge?
Answer:
That
would be impossible to answer quickly right here. I have an extensive chapter in
my manual devoted entirely to bidding and estimating each job, what you should
charge, how to know what the competition is charging, etc.
Question:
Do you have any more testimonials from people who may have purchased your book
recently?
Answer:
I have received plenty of verbal and email testimonials. You can
read some of them right on this site. People have given me great compliments
about my information, and this site. Many more testimonials are soon to be
posted, so bookmark this site and visit each week.
Question:
How do I know your package is worth the money, or that you are legitimate?
Answer:
I know I am selling a worthwhile package of very good info for
a good, competitive price. That's why I offer you my unconditional, 100%
money-back guarantee. You will find that there is far more value in my manual
and video than the money. It is an investment, and well worth it. My customers
feel the same.
Call me and talk to me if you have additional questions about
my validity.

Question:
I plan to order your course. But was wondering what would the age restriction be
for doing this type of labor?
And what would the cost of equipment be for this type of work? Do you have
actual ads to run to get business instead of spending a lot of money on yellow
pages ads?
Answer:
Age really doesn't matter. I have helped retirees clean
windows part time for supplemental income. They all have stuck to ground level
jobs though because they were not interested in using ladders. The use of
ladders can really help get a lot more business because people are reluctant to
go up and clean second story windows. But if you do not use ladders, then that
eliminates buying them as well as needing a vehicle to transport them. The
supplies needed to actually clean windows are very affordable, a couple hundred
dollars tops. And that would even include a decent step ladder.
I currently have a one line listing in the yellow pages. It is a free listing
because I have a business telephone number. I also used to run an ad in a weekly
classified publication for only $20/week. Now I am just doing repeat business
mainly, as well as referral jobs.
There are other ways to drum up business though, like
distributing flyers for example. Its cheap and will get you business. I know my
manual will really help eliminate the learning curve for you.
Question:
Will I need special tools for the job ? I got a mini-van which I use for house
cleaning, I think I can adapt ladders on it.
Answer:
A minivan should be fine as long as you can get a ladder rack
on it. Everything you'll need to buy and do is included in the instructional
materials. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Question:
I have seen other web sites that seem to offer the same thing. Why should I buy
from you?
Answer:
You should buy from me for a few key reasons:
I am not a marketer. I am an actual window cleaner. That is my
full time business.
I created my information package and launched this web site,
because I had ordered a product offered on the internet and it was total junk. I
did exactly what it said, and nothing was working. Being very determined to
succeed in the window business, through trial and error I learned the keys to
success in this business. Incidentally, I was doing some of the exact
opposite of what the product told me to do. The person who wrote the
information I ordered was a great marketer, but I can't imagine he ever ran a
successful window cleaning business.
I also created my manual and video to make extra money, don't
get me wrong. I would beware of anyone selling a product and saying that they
aren't trying to make money.
Also, how many other web sites out there openly give you their
phone number, so you can call up and talk to them personally? None to my
knowledge.
So, if you want the truth about how to start and run a
successful window cleaning business, I am your man. I guarantee it.
By the way, my phone number is 215-453-8808. If I am out
cleaning windows or not available, leave me a message and I will get back to
you. Or you can
email me if you have another question not explained here.
